The Soundtrack of Shasta

We spent hours working on this project, and of course we needed some tunes to keep us moving and motivated while we did it.  For a few days we listened to current music – but it just didn’t feel right.  We decided we’d start listening only to early 1970s music, to keep with the retro feeling of the trailer.  We put together two mixes – one that consisted of songs that came out in 1972 only, and one that was the top 100 chart toppers from January – December in the UK.  This provided us with hours of songs – some good, some bad, and some just pecuilar – and we listened to both mixes repeatedly all summer.  We thought it only fair that we share our favorites with you, so we’ll start doing weekly posts featuring some of the most popular tracks of 1972.  It’s amazing how many classic songs were at the top of the charts that year – we hope you enjoy the Soundtrack of Shasta!
